Terms of Service

By engaging lesscodex.dev for services — whether through the contact form, email, or any other communication channel — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not proceed with an engagement.

lesscodex.dev provides web development and design services including, but not limited to: website development, web application development, UI/UX design, and creative web experiences. Each engagement begins with a written scope agreement. Work does not commence until both parties have agreed on scope, timeline, and pricing in writing (email or messaging platform).

The scope of each engagement is defined before work begins and documented in a project brief or proposal. Any work outside the agreed scope constitutes a change request and is subject to additional fees and timeline adjustments. Changes to scope must be agreed in writing by both parties before implementation begins.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing: • Projects under Rp 5,000,000 / $500 USD: Full payment before work begins. • Projects Rp 5,000,000–20,000,000 / $500–$2,000 USD: 50% deposit before work begins, 50% upon delivery. • Projects above Rp 20,000,000 / $2,000 USD: Payment schedule agreed in the project proposal. Payment is due within 7 calendar days of invoice. Late payments may incur a 2% monthly fee. Work may be paused on overdue invoices.

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as specified in the project brief. Revisions are limited to adjustments within the original agreed scope. Requests that constitute new features or scope changes are treated as change requests. If no revision count is specified in writing, the default is 2 rounds of revisions.

Upon full receipt of payment: • The client receives full ownership of the final deliverables, including source code and design assets created specifically for the project. • lesscodex.dev retains the right to display the work in its portfolio and case studies, unless the client requests confidentiality in writing. • Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, open-source libraries) are subject to their respective licenses. It is the client's responsibility to ensure proper licensing for any assets they supply.

The client agrees to: • Provide timely feedback within agreed review periods (default: 5 business days). • Supply all required content, assets, and access credentials promptly. • Ensure they have rights to any content or materials they provide. Delays caused by late client feedback or missing materials may result in timeline adjustments and additional fees.

lesscodex.dev warrants that work will be performed professionally and to a reasonable standard of quality. lesscodex.dev is not liable for: • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of delivered work. • Issues caused by third-party services, hosting providers, or platforms. • Business losses, lost revenue, or data loss. Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice. • If terminated by the client: Payment is due for all work completed up to the termination date, including any non-refundable deposit. • If terminated by lesscodex.dev: Work completed to date will be delivered, and fees proportional to work completed will be charged. Any deposit in excess of work completed will be refunded.

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public business information shared during the engagement. This does not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the appropriate courts in Indonesia.

These terms may be updated periodically. The version in effect at the time an engagement is confirmed applies to that engagement. Updated terms apply to new engagements from the date of publication.
